Autumn Equinox Spell Kit (PRE ORDER)

This Autumn Equinox spell kit will be the first collective spell I cast in my new NorCal space in the woods. It will be the first florida water I'll brew on Nisenan land and charge in my treehouse, the first offering I'll share with you in this second half of my life as a converted country girl. I'll be using local plants and elements that honor and reflect the landscape, and creating a very special spell kit designed to expand our capacity for change and release our propensity to cling.

I have recently uprooted my entire life. I passed on a great deal of my belongings to new homes, packed up what was left and put most of it into storage. I drove my son up to his college dorm, sobbed as I embraced him, and emptied my nest. I moved in with my elderly uncle in the woods, became the 2022nd person to live in this town, and started my life over again as I tend to do every decade. 

It has been terrifying and rejuvenating, isolating and expansive, lamentable and luminous all at once. I have found myself wishing for the impossibility of things to have stayed the same, just as they were, while also knowing that everything is exactly as it should be. Over and over again we are tasked with learning life's most difficult and necessary lesson: how to let go. How to do it with grace. How to build the resilience required in this ephemeral existence to feel it all so deeply and let it scatter into the wind when the time has come. 

I am putting all of that energy into this spell kit for the shift into Autumn, and I wholeheartedly believe it will be one of my most powerful offerings to date. I will be including venus clam shells that I collected during my summer at the beach, my final days on Tongva land. I walked around the Ballona Lagoon every morning as a ritual, collecting the shells and adding them to an ever growing jar. The shells are the ultimate symbol of acceptance as, once marine bivalve mollusks, they became sustenance for shorebirds, in accordance with the circle of life. They currently reside on the ledge of my treehouse, beneath a panoply of pines.

Because I've just moved and am rebuilding S+S HQ, I don't have all the same supplies I normally would. And so, this spell kit will be offered as PRE ORDER ONLY, with the order window closing on 9/9 in order to ensure you receive your kit in time for the equinox.

Each Equinox Spell Kit contains:

• The Autumn Equinox spell from Invocations on 4x6 paper
• a green chime candle for spell casting 
• a 4 ounce bottle of hand made Florida Water, brewed on Nisenan land and charged in the treehouse 
• a venus clam shell gathered on Tongva land
