Framed Poem #4

An original spell from my book, The Spectrum of Visible Light, typed on my vintage 1958 Olympia SM4 typewriter, framed in a thrifted beveled brass frame. The matting is from album artwork and liner notes inside a Buena Vista Social Club album. The spell reads:

all that is meant for me will stay

roots expand beneath me
thick and thorough
nourished, new
stretching
stable
trusting
true

nothing i cling to will water me

what is mine will flow like honey
mellifluous and slow
sticky
sweet 
stuck to my bones

 so be it, so it is

Please note that because these frames are thrifted and the typewriter in vintage, there will be imperfections. This is part of the charm!
