ART IS ACTIVISM
This square print was hand drawn by me and designed with a vintage aesthetic—a call back to the liberation posters of the 60s and 70s, and a nod to the many decades of Palestine's enduring struggle for liberation from settler colonial occupation and wanton genocide.
It features a keffiyeh pattern, the scarf that has become a symbol of great cultural significance to Palestine and the resistance movement. The text in Arabic reads: from the river to the sea (referring to the Jordan river at the Eastern border of the West Bank and the Mediterranean Sea at the Western border of Gaza).
