Original, one of a kind artwork featuring a spell from my book, Invocations, typed on my vintage 1958 Olympia SM4 typewriter, mounted in a thrifted frame.
This spell was inspired by the Greek myth of the Nine Muses: Urania (astronomy), Polyhymnia (hymns), Melpomene (tragic theatre), Thalia (comedic theatre), Clio (history), Calliope (epic poetry), Euterpe (song and elegiac poetry), Terpsichore (dance), and Erato (lyrical poetry). Calliope’s emblems included a writing tablet and a stylus.
This piece is perfect for a creative space as it calls upon the muse for creative inspiration. Everything that comprises this artwork was given a second life.
The spell reads:
Invoke the muses
One through nine
Goddess of poetry
craft and design
Endow me with
your light divine
Press your stylus
to the line
Whisper words
on every page
Advance the plot
and set the stage
Free the stories
from their cage
Bring them forth
into this age

Artwork measures 5x7 inches. Frame has attached stand and wall mount. Shipping is based on total weight.
Please note that because these frames are thrifted and the typewriter in vintage, there will be imperfections. This is part of the charm!
